I’m selling my Yamaha CD-S2000 (black version). It plays both CDs and SACDs (stereo). It’s in excellent shape and works as it should. It comes with original remote. These are solid and built very well. It’s a bit heavier and larger than most players. Although it looks similar, the CD-S2000 has many worthy upgrades compared to the CD-S1000. Most of all it has XLR balanced outputs. It also has dual power supplies (one for digital and one for analog). It was Yamahas TOTL player when new. These are great players (possibly one of the best?) and a big bonus is it fits right in with all Yamaha classic components. I pack well.

Yamaha CD-S2000 Natural Sound Super Audio CD Player Black Color Beautiful Description A-S2000 (B) has a tight and sharp appearance with a matte black face, suitable for the increased number of black speakers in recent years. It has been in use until recently and is in good working condition. There are light scratches on the top panel, but there are no noticeable dirt or stains elsewhere. I personally own the silver-faced model of the same machine, which I also use to listen to music from my PC and LP. Compared to my Accuphase setup (plus a dedicated DAC board), I find that the YAMAHA A-S2000 has a natural and clean sound that is not overly polished. I have Sonus Faber, Tannoy, and DALI speakers (mid-range models), and I find that the YAMAHA A-S2000 suits my Japanese sensibilities focused on original sound reproduction. When paired with YAMAHAs CD-S2000, the sound is excellent, not only because it was a recommended combination at the time of release but also because I now use it as part of a network setup with DACs like iFI to achieve a more sophisticated sound quality. This might harken back to the characteristic sound of older high-end equipment. The A-S2000 belongs to a series that has been updated and become more expensive.
