That is why its larger than some other class D amps. But it is also an intagrated so it has ability to run as preamp with an RCA output. I run the rca outputs to my sub amp with no issues. This intagrated will drive anything. Over 1000 rms @4ohms x 2. See spec sheet. I am including a basic DAC so that one can connect their optical source to the unit. Wyred 4 Sound (W4S) DAC-2 DSD Digital-to-Analog Converter (Silver) - Great condition DAC still sounds and looks great. Used for years in a A/V stereo and music server PC set-up with USB, coax and optical inputs. Non-smoking household. Selling now because I got the upgrade bug. Please see the photos, but I would consider this unit to be in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. Includes the Femto-clock upgrade for lowered jitter. Priced lower than market, since I consider that I got a lot of value from it over the years. Does NOT include the remote (reflected in the asking price). However, a universal remote can be synced with this easily, which is how I have been using it for years. I had an accident with the remote and cracked it years ago. Changing DAC inputs, and other functions are easily done from the front controls. If you plan on using this as a DAC, and not a preamp, the remote provides little added functionality for daily use. Vendo causa passaggio alla versione nuova (9038pro), questo bellissimo ma soprattutto ottimo DAC della Wyred 4 Sounds chiamata anche W4S. Il dac è il vecchio top di gamma, la versione SE (special edition), che rispetto alla standard utilizza componenti selezionati e di migliore qualità sonore. Attualmente è collegato tramite Porta I2S (HDMI) ad un raspberry per la musica liquida e porta coassiale al mio lettore cd. E un prodotto di nicchia, quindi probabilmente chi lo cerca lo conosce e già ha letto le ottime recensioni. This DAC is also a preamp. It sounds fantastic and made in the USA.. Built to last. The DAC-2 is Wyred 4 Sounds flagship effort, though it sells direct for a very un-reference price of $1,499. Available in your choice of black or silver, the DAC-2 is a handsomely unassuming piece that looks far better in person than it does in photographs. Its also larger in person than it seems in photographs, measuring eight-and-a-half inches wide by a little over four inches tall and 13.5 inches deep. It isnt light, either, tipping the scales at 16 pounds, which for a DAC might as well be 100. Still, its construction is solid, its connection options, which Ill get to in a second, are of a high quality and its feature set is more akin to what youd expect from a preamp than your run of the mill DAC. Theres a reason for this, of course: its because the DAC-2 is also a preamp.As for input/output options, the DAC-2 has two coaxial digital inputs, two optical audio inputs, one AES/EBU input, one 1S2 input (via non-standard HDMI cable) and a 24-bit, 192kHz Asynchronous USB input. A word on the DAC-2s digital and USB inputs: the coaxial digital inputs are capable of accepting signals up to 32 bits in length and 200 kHz in frequency, whereas the optical inputs can only handle up to 176.4 kHz due to the limitations of the formats transmission properties.
