For sale is WOO AUDIO WTP-1 CD transport. Outwardly, the unit is in outstanding condition, the same as when it arrived from the factory. The unit, however, is in need of transport work. I had previously had the transport worked on by Woo Audio after a failure. For a while, it worked perfectly. Then, it started showing symptoms of difficulty again....some CDs cant be read; some CDs will read but only after the unit is powered off and powered back on; sometimes the CD track selection does not work (you have to play the CD in its entirety rather than selecting tracks), and closing of the top arm does not prompt automatic CD reading. You may find failure modes other than what Ive just described. Or, you might get lucky and the unit will work better for you than it does for me. Originally, the WTP-1 sold for around $1200, if my memory serves. Controls are basic Play, Pause, Stop, Skip Forward, Skip Backward. The rear panel has three digital outputs in the form of AES/EBU, BNC, and TosLink optical. In essence, this is a chassis in near-perfect condition, complete with the remote control, CD weight, and factory double-boxing, that I cannot get to work as intended. A chance, perhaps, for a transport techie guru to get a nice piece of equipment for the price of a little work. If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer.
