Featuring a fully logic controlled mechanism, an ultra-slim design (the smallest in my collection), and a top-quality motor and amorphous head based on Sonys best chassis, this flagship Walkman is a very cool (and practical) option for those looking for an audiophile-grade, offline, portable music player without the distraction of a smartphone. The mechanism has been fully serviced, calibrated, demagnetized and rebuilt by myself, and fitted with a new DeckTech belt. Includes: Main unit, LCD Remote controller, AA battery case SPECIFICATIONS Cosmetic condition: Very good - Light scratching on the cassette door. Rear is very lightly stained. - Very stylish & attractive design, with a premium feel. - Beautiful rosemary-purple colour. Build Quality: Excellent - Thick, all-metal body. With bumpers on the corners for drop-protection, this unit is made to last. - Ultra-compact size- the same size as a cassette case! The smallest in my collection. Mechanical condition: Outstanding - Plays as it did when new. Perfectly balanced audio quality, with every detail present- one of the best sounding models ever made. - No audible wow/flutter. - Ultra-fast 25x rewind speed thanks to the powerful motor. - Doesnt contain any electrolytic capacitors, and is built to last far longer than a traditional Walkman. Battery life: Excellent - Around 110 hours (1400mah gumstick battery + AA battery) - Note- batteries not included, however can be bought inexpensively online. Search for gumstick battery for newly manufactured batteries (eg. doublepow). - Gumstick batteries can be charged in any multipurpose NiMH battery charger (eg. liitokala lii-100b) Compatibility: - Will play all tape types (1, 2, 3 & 4) - Supports compatible Walkman remote controls (four pins) - Will run up to 8-300ohm headphones. Powers my Sennheiser HD-600 (300 ohms) nice and loud, without any issues. - Supports the Dolby B Noise Reduction system. Features:- Auto reverse Plays both sides of the tape automatically. I have not confirmed any further operation. Since the rechargeable battery was also unopened, I will attach it, but I do not know if it can be used as a rechargeable battery. I think it will be junk. I put it in a box at home and kept it for a long time. No dents.
