Up for sale is a pair of Wharfedale Evo 4.2 in beautiful book-matched walnut. They are in excellent shape with no marks that I can find on either of the enclosures besides some light scratches on the bottom of the plinths from being on stands. These are wonderful speakers, they take some effort in setting up but reward with a very holographic, wide soundstage with pinpoint imaging when done correctly. The soft dome mid renders voices better than I have ever heard from a speaker at this pricepoint, and with the excellent imaging, I never felt like I was lacking a center channel when used for theater.I am only selling because I cycle through speakers quite frequently and these are currently sidelined. Out of what I have, these are the most easily replaced. Im including a set of WBC Canare 4s11 spade to spade jumpers (original jumpers included as well) as my current speakers have single terminals. I have the original packaging (box/foam inserts) besides the cloth bags and gloves, but I will pick up some pillow cases to ship them in. Unfortunately the manual was lost in a move, but can be easily found online. Grills are included, but I didnt take pictures of them. I do want to add a couple things for disclosure and Im adjusting the price accordingly. Someone messaged me asking if one of the tweeters was slightly tilted. I dont see it, and I pulled the trim ring off and everything is screwed into the factory drill holes. The screws are countersunk and will automatically locate the tweeter module where it wants them to sit, so this wouldnt be adjustable if it is indeed there. This is how it came out of the factory and wouldnt be able to be adjusted. If it is there, it is half a degree at most. I did notice as I was looking closely at this that there is a very minor paint flake on the tweeter. I didnt see it in photos and only noticed it when looking very closely; I just quickly touched it up and I cannot see it unless I am within 6 of the speaker. I can send photos if interested. There is a small spot with a slight white discoloration in one of the mid domes. This does show up in photos but is heavily exacerbated by the flash. It is not a scuff and nothing is affected sound quality wise by it, they both sound identical. It is very minor and again, not noticeable unless youre really looking for it. The enclosures are in perfect shape.

Used working condition Large and very heavy Some wear in places to the paint work, painted black over shaped wood or wood laminate boxes Nets have some wear, some small pulls and both nets are missing some spigots that hold nets in place. Left speaker has 1 spigot broken off, and right speaker has 2 spigots broken off. In both cases the nets are still held firmly in place. Speaker units beneath are all in excellent working condition and sound is good. Two pairs of connectors on the back of each speaker. Have linked the pairs together and then feed into the A speakers connectors on the back of my amp, and also have connected each pair into my amp using both the A and B outputs. In either way Speakers sound very good. Holes in the wider parts of the base back, and also underneath the fronts, are for screw in feet. No feet with these speakers, speakers sit straight on the floor. Some heavy white scuff marks to sides and front, and some scratches, very deep in some places, down to bare wood, see photos Also some heavy wear and scratches down to the bare wood on the top of each speaker, see photos Very bottom front edge of units also has some wear and cracks to the paint. Both speakers have there emblems on the front of each, near the bottom. This AMT ribbon tweeter is paired with a fast, responsive and detailed dome midrange driver. This soft fabric dome features extensive dampening, venting and a specially designed rear chamber, to allow the driver to sound incredibly detailed, with a wide dispersion to allow you to hear the music as intended, wherever you are seated. This midrange driver is found on all speakers within the Evo4 range, bar the Evo-4.1.Low frequencies are handled by Wharfedales low-distortion motor system, paired with woven Kevlar cones to deliver powerful bass that you can both hear and feel. This strong, lightweight kevlar makes the driver both fast and powerful, allowing for accurate and detailed bass which can reach impressively low and loud when needed. The Evo4s bass extension is then extended and improved by the most advanced version of Wharfedales signature slot-loaded bass port yet. The SLPP or Slot Loaded Profiled Port is designed to extend the speakers bass performance using a carefully designed port in the base of the speaker, which allows the Evo4 speakers to be much more forgiving with their placement, where most speakers would struggle with bass-output, the Evo4s will still shine.
