Linn Wakonda pre-amplifier for sale, serial 615,003. The Linn Helpline confirmed that this is a late model manufactured in 2002 so it shouldnt need a service for a while. it also has the newer black (rather than grey) power switch. Its an excellent sounding example that has done great service along with an LK140 (now sold) for the past couple of years. Ive really enjoyed this amp and used it with various LP12s including the Koil MC and Adikt MM cartridges. Its also been connected to a CD player on occasion. Never had an issues with it and it sounds much more open and clearer than any of the four Linn Kairn / Kairn Pro pre-amps that Ive compared it to, although they were all older. Prior to this example I had another Wakonda with integrated tuner module and this one sounded much better - I assume that was largely due to the added module degrading the sound. The condition is excellent with just some blooming on one area of the top casework - perhaps some over zealous cleaning by a previous owner. Its not always easy to see and I thought Id captured it but it doesnt show very well. The sale includes the original remote control, Linn mains lead, and box with matching serial number.
