Wadia 170I transport used but in working order. (The Ipod shown in the picture is not included but just for illustration purposes). They are some cosmetic flaws (see pictures) and the wires were shorten by previous owner, the feet were missing so i added Hudson HI-FI insulators (which work better than the original feet), the Digital output is a little loose but it is my understanding that this was a manufactures flaw from the beginning but it works. I used the (2) Audio Out without any issues. It is set up to except Apple iPod with 30 pins. (2) remotes come with it the original and a Griffin Evolve and both have good batteries. You are bidding on a Wadia Digital 170i Transport Digital iPod Dock, in very good cosmetic condition, for parts or repair. The power supply lights green when connected to 120V AC, but the Wadia does not power up. If youve already got one of these, this might be very handy for parts, or possibly repair. In the event youre not acquainted with this particular gizmo, the 170i Transport is a cast-aluminum iPod dock that measures 8 W by 2.7 H by 8 D, with a slot on top into which you dock an iPod. There are multiple adapters for the slot to accommodate all compatible iPods. In its day, this was an innovative and revolutionary way to bypass any iDevices built-in—and vastly inferior—DAC, in favor of the Wadias advanced internal digital to analog converter, or through the S/PDIF coaxial digital and out to your own A/V receiver or dedicated DAC/preamp. The rear panel has outputs for coaxial digital, analog, S-video, and component video, along with an input connector for the 170s external DC power supply, A basic remote is also included.
