This Wadia DAC works. It was one of Wadias earlier models. It uses four Western Electric DSP processors, two for each channel, to do the filtering, according to algorithms that could be built on a computer with Wadias software (which I do not have) and burned into EPROM chips. Martin Colloms 1989 review in Stereophile (available with a Google search) called it startling in its improvement over present norms, and said that the Digital 1000 Decoding Computer showed that a breakthrough has been made in digital replay, one which at last shows digital to be a worthy alternative to high-class vinyl. This one has coaxial SPDIF input (with a BNC jack; I will include an adapter), and two RCAs for output. Ive plugged this one into an ordinary Denon CD transport and tested it with Miles Davis. It sounds spectacular. You wont regret it.
