VPI HW-16.5 Record Cleaner Very Good Condition....doesnt appear to have much use...motor and vacuum are strong ...no issues

For sale is my set of 4 HW-40 feet for use with a Classic Turntable. I bought them new in February 2023 and have used them until recently on my Classic 4. You simply unscrew your old Classic feet and replace them one at a time with an HW-40 foot. These feet provide much better isolation from the environment. I found that they cleaned up the bass on my Classic 4 and seemed to open the soundstage as well improving what I thought was already excellent performance from the Classic 4. The feet are in excellent condition but they do have a few superficial scratches on the metal base. I believe this came from shipping as they were not packed that well when I received them. The feet come disassembled with the metal/padded base, the screw-in inserts (I believe it’s ¼ - 20), and the black rubbery pads that surround the inserts. I am selling them because I have traded in my Classic 4 for an SME turntable and no longer need them. They have been used in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. This like new example of now iconic VPI HW-17 was recently removed from a high end system where it was used an estimated 25 times… it is in remarkable condition as you can see in the photos. VPI HW-16.5 Cleaning Machine. An incredible, reliable workhorse. Works as new. Case shows marks from fluid spills (see pictures 7, 9 & 11), but nothing affecting performance. Includes the original VPI brush supplied when new, as well as a Mobile Fidelity Record Brush. Suction wand recently replaced, as well as the internal vacuum gasket. Will be double-boxed.

VPI 16.5 Vinyl Record Cleaning Machine - Perfect Used Condition. This cleaner has been used only a handful of times....comes with the stock nylon brush and two extra felt brushes. I even have an extra cork mat that I would put down to not contaminate the clean grooves when flipping it over.

This VPI HW-17 record cleaning machine has been a project that Ive been storing for more than a few years now. As you can see in the video, the pump, platter motor, and vacuum do appear to turn on when switched on though I have not tried to clean a record with this. I had planned on cleaning it up but its more of a project than I have room for right now. Included are new replacements (from VPI) of a 33 rpm wand and the housing that it sits in. You can see where the previous owner used some sort of sealant (its silver in color) around the inside corners of the unit. The base plate appears to be a homemade replacement as I believe the original is made of old particle board. A couple of the screws that hold the baseplate on are stripped. Cosmetically, this is in pretty nice condition (aside from the sealant). The exterior of the case has few marks and the clear acrylic dust cover is in excellent condition. If youre the type of person that doesnt mind fixing things, this could be a great deal for you. This is being sold as is and as shown. Please be willing to restore or, at least, repair this unit. This is not in plug and play condition. The fuse that is in there is only a 6.5 Amp fuse and the manual calls for a 10 Amp - Ive only switched each function on individually. Unit measures 22.25 x 15.5 x 7.75 and weighs 29 lbs. Ive packed countless pieces of rare and delicate audio and Im confident I can get this to you safely. Local pickup is always welcome.
