Offered for your consideration is a vintage Vifa of Denmark # DT19D-5 19mm dome tweeter that was original equipment in my MISSION 700S speakers, manufactured in England, 1983.This Vifa high-frequency driver is correct for most, if not all, early variants of the Mission 700, in addition to the Model 707, and possibly others. Plus, the DT19D was used in many different brands of speakers, European, and even some domestic, in the 1980’s. As such, the buyer is responsible for confirming its compatibility with their needs.So, please have a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this superb Vifa tweeter should become yours.*Although the listing is written largely in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical Vifa DT19D-5 tweeters are available. This Vifa tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. It has a perfect soft dome just below the textured plastic faceplate. Plus, that sturdy faceplate has no scratches or cracks at the mount holes. Also, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, no flaws were noted whatsoever. More importantly, its been fully tested and sounds terrific—strong, with clear high frequency output to a sparkly 20kHz rating. Plus, I tested DC resistance at 6.3-6.5?, right in line with a nominal 8 ohm rating. Offered for your consideration is one (1) Vifa # D19SD-05 19mm (¾ inch) poly dome tweeter that was original equipment in my Definitive Technology C1-J (C1-Jr.) center channel speaker, manufactured c.1998. This tweeter was also used in many other brands’ speakers in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, but the buyer is responsible for accurately assessing its suitability for any other applications. So, please take a look at my large photos, measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this exceptional Vifa tweeter should be yours. This Vifa tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. The poly dome is flawless with no dimples or marks. Plus, the faceplate has no scratches or cracks and the magnet structure shield cap also looks great. Also, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity (red dot = pos) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this tweeter is in superb shape. Most importantly, it’s been fully tested sounds outstanding as you’d expect from a Vifa product chosen by Definitive—fast, detailed upper midrange and spectacular highs up to the driver’s 20kHz limit (with 80 watt power handling). And, I tested the DC resistance at 7.2? consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the faceplate measures 3 11/16” diameter, it stands 1 5/16” tall, and the three mount holes are spaced 2 15/16” apart, c-t-c. Never been used have good ohm readings on each tweeter and the fitting holes have not been drilled out so i whould say there un used. Mission 700 Tweeters Vifa D19.
