Condition: the device can be switched on and the cassette compartment mechanism works. One tape does not run. The cause has not been determined. Therefore sold as defective/spare parts. Listed for your consideration is a Samsung DVD-V3500 DVD & VCR Combo Player. The remote is included. It has been tested and works. No batteries are included with the remote. It has been tested and powers on but has some issues. The unit will play VHS tapes properly. When a DVD is inserted it stays on the loading screen and most of the time does not start the DVD. It seems that like new DVDs with no scratches will start but they freeze after short time. I did open the unit to clean the laser but it did not help. When the DVD side was being tested it switched to Progressive Scan mode on my TV. My TV did not support this feature so the screen was distorted as shown in pictures 4 and 5. You can cycle through different modes using the Progressive button to find the correct setting so it will display properly. Some of the other buttons changed the modes as well. There are no extra wires, accessories, VHS tapes, or DVDs included. You will receive only what is pictured. It has been previously used and shows some wear and marks. It is being sold AS-IS for PARTS or REPAIR and is to be considered NON-FUNCTIONING.
