These are a great vintage Vandersteen speakers from 2004. The Model 2Ce speakers are in immaculate condition both cosmetically and sonically. This is perhaps Vandersteen’s best selling speaker. The detail and openness is very rare at this price point. This is due to Vandersteen’s philosophy to put the money into the design, speaker and crossover components rather than the enclosure finish and appearance. Yet they still are beautiful speakers. Bought these Sig ll Anniversary Editionabout three years ago from the Vandersteen dealer when the Sig 3s came out.I also have the Acoustic Zen Satori shotgun bi-wire speaker cable for these if you are interested. The four spades, (for each speaker end), have been filed down to fit in the slots on the Vandersteen speaker screw type binders. I believe the shot gun cables, as highly recommended by Vandersteen, are heavy and GREAT sounding Acoustic Zen cables were about $1700.00. Local pick up in the north Los Angeles area (Santa Clarita). Up for sale is a excellent pair of the legendary Vandersteen 2Ce speakers with stands! These are in nearly perfect condition and the sound quality is excellent! All drivers work properly. These are actually a 4-way speaker with a 10” deep bass (subwoofer) on the back, 8” midwoofer on the front, 4.5” midrange and 1” aluminum dome tweeter. New grill cloth was installed and all drivers were inspected and found to be in excellent condition with no signs of damage or deterioration, so you can expect many years of enjoyment out of these! The stands are custom built and are 1.5” taller than the original stands. This means that you don’t have to tilt them back very far to get them aimed correctly so that the midrange is directly on axis with your ears. This also provides a higher soundstage and better overall fidelity! You can pay for these in person, you don’t have to pay immediately, even if you use the buy it now option. This way you can inspect them first before paying, and I don’t lose the 3 percent fee.
