UNISON RESEARCH S6 (MK I), berühmter Röhren-Vollverstärker aus dem ebenso berühmten italienischen Röhren-Haus UNISON RESEARCH. Ein paar ehrliche Worte zu dieser Auktion: Ich habe diesen Verstärker selbst erst vergangenen Monat von einem niederländischen Händler gekauft. Ziel war es, den Unison einem gründlichen Vergleichstest an meinen neuen B&W Lautsprechern zu unterziehen. Er ist hier gegen meinen vorhandenen Atoll (Transistor) und einen weiteren Röhren-Vollverstärker von Ayon angetreten, den ich zu diesem Zweck ebenso gebraucht angeschafft habe. Ihr HiFi-Freak*Innen kennt ja das Problem: Wir haben verstanden, dass wir ja die Kette IM ZUSAMMENSPIEL hören müssen. Doch wie soll man das bewerkstelligen, wenn man eine Komponente auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt erstehen möchte? Nun, ich habe mir die Mühe gemacht und gleich zwei Röhrenverstärker gekauft, um sie hier auszuprobieren. Was soll ich sagen: Der Ayon hat das Rennen gemacht, der Unison und der Atoll sind zum Abschuss freigegeben. Ich hatte den Unison ausgewählt, weil er wegen seiner üppigen Röhren-Bestückung von 3 EL-34 pro Kanal verhältnismäßig viel Power in reinem Class A betrieb bereitstellt. Und Class A wollte ich haben. Aber an meinen LS (Wirkungsgrad 90 dB) klang der Ayon besser. So kam ich vor vier Wochen an den Unison Research S6. Der Verstärker wurde mir als in tadellosem Zustand befindlich verkauft. Rechnung kann man oben einsehen. Gewährleistung durch Second High End Audio 6 Monate - also noch 5 Monate übrig, wobei die Abwicklung im Falle eines Falles möglicherweise durch mich geschehen müsste. Dass der Verstärker in tadellosem Zustand befindlich sei, hätte ich NICHT so beschrieben, das war zu wohlwollend formuliert. Ich zähle nun die Mängel auf, die mir aufgefallen sind. Keiner der Mängel beeinträchtig den Verstärker in seiner Funktion. 1. Es gibt zwei Macken in der dekorativen Holzwange des Geräts. Sind fotografisch dokumentiert. 2. Ich nehme an, dass die kleine Öffnung in der Front für den Empfänger der Fernbedienung durch eine kleine Glas- oder Kunststoffscheibe verdeckt war. Wenn dem so ist: Sie ist nicht mehr da. Ist kosmetisch: Das Gerät lässt sich durch die Fernbedienung steuern. 3. Der Verstärker ist nicht mit EL-34 Röhren bestückt sondern mit 6CA7EH von Electro Harmonix - was auch immer man dem entnehmen möchte. Alter und Laufleistung der Röhren ist nicht bekannt. 4. Der Verstärker wurde mir natürlich mit NICHT montierten Röhren zugesandt. Allerdings hatte man versäumt zu notieren, welche Röhre auf welchen Sockel gehört. Deswegen müssten die Röhren genaugenommen neu ge-paired oder ge-mached werden. Hat natürlich auch meinen Test verfälscht! Immerhin arbeitet der Verstärker mit Auto-Bias, das schafft aber für dieses Problem nicht wirklich Abhilfe. 5. Wenig Flugrost auf dem verchromten Gitter. Man sieht es auf dem Foto, wenn man ganz genau schaut. 6. Ich gehe davon aus, dass es einen Mechanismus gab, mit dem man das Schutzgitter einfach hoch- und wieder herunterklappen konnte. Es gibt eine Bohrung in den Seiten (Foto) die offensichtlich ein Teil dieses Mechanismus ist. Es sieht so aus, als fehlten in den Bohrungen 2 kleine Hülsen als Aufnahme für die entsprechenden Enden des Gitters. Vielleicht mal bei Unison anrufen und nett fragen ... Im Augenblick muss man stattdessen einfach das Gitter händisch aufsetzen und wieder abnehmen - nur klappen kann man es nicht. Hand aufs Herz: Mehr finde ich nicht! Sonst ein tolles Gerät. Allerdings nichts für Menschen mit Bandscheibenproblemen. :-) Technische Daten im Internet! Viel Spaß!
