Pioneer XL A700s (PL570) Vintage Direct Drive Turntable, No Auto Function. I am selling my XL A700s, which is the Japanese model of the classic PL570x. Unfortunately, my tech has informed me that the auto functions require significant work (the plastic gearing/gearing plate needs replaced and the tonearm timing motor needs either replaced or overhauled). If you have the necessary experience or a tech who has this is your opportunity to get yourself a table that regularly sells for over 1000 at a bargain price. My tech cleaned and relubed all the mechanisms, checked the caps, and measured the speeds (results were better than published specs both with and without quartz engaged). Cabinet has some small damage (mainly to the grey veneer), and one of the hinges covers is missing. Dust cover would benefit from a buff and polish but is free from any cracks This is the Japanese model. Therefore, it requires a 100v step-down transformer to run on UK mains. I recommend Airlink transformers, but there are plenty of reputable manufacturers available. Uk only.
