This incomplete Thorens TD160 probably was intended by someone to build into some sort of stereo furniture, but apparantly the person did not finish the job. This is the only explanation I can think of why it is in this state. Most parts are there and functioning. The only real thing missing is the headshell with pickup element.Internally some connections have been disconnected as was the arm which I managed to fix again (fortunately most screws were in a plastic bag that came with this item). I tried the motor and fortunately it works. Plateau runs very nice and frictionless, both 45 and 33 RPM function but belt may need replacement. Overall condition is fair, so my guess is that this turntable is best as donor for parts. Please see pictures... what you see is what you get! I tried the motor by applying current to it and it works. Plateau runs very nice and without any friction, both 45 and 33 RPM function but belt may need replacement.
