Lovely Thorens TD160 B MK11 with SME 3009 with original plinth Oak veneered in real walnut and waxed to a lovely finish Fitted with Ortofon VMS 20E MK11 which matches this arm perfectly, sounds fantastic New custom made lid fitted with rega hinges ( I think these work best as they enable the dust cover to lift off so much easier ) Thicker MDF baseboard finished in satin black with new rubber feet . (Can supply the original if preferred) Polished platter Overall this turntable is set up perfectly ,needs nothing and sounds really nice. Unfortunately I will definitely not post due to the very delicate nature of the turntable so collection only from Felixstowe, Suffolk , where you can have a listen before taking away if you wish. Thorens TD 160B Mk II Turntable with SME 3009 Series III arm, AR P77 Cartridge. Good condition

Great condition to base, minor marking here and there. SME Armboard is on it. No tonearm included. Lid is quite scratched and marked but structurally great, fits perfectly no spraining. - Has improved blue belt - Motor thrust bearing from SRM Tech pre installed. This fixes the common issue on basically any old Thorens deck of the motor making a slight knocking sound. - Has SRM Tech Ultimate main bearing oil in there. - Improved feet attached, old ones included (and old belt) if for some reason you wanted to downgrade.. Runs brilliantly, nice and silent. Ready for a tonearm to go on and there is nothing else you would need to do (you could try one of the methods to polish the scratches out of the lid such as using car headlight polish) - 1 minor issue is the 45 speed setting requires an extra nudge to start. Added a video to the listing to show this. - Also 1 screw cap is missing (the small black caps that go over the corner screws, you can see in pictures the top left one is missing.) - The fuse box inside has been reattached with strong double sided strip after a failed attempt to re glue it back down (there are glue marking on it.. minor and has 0 effect on performance). Have had this running recently with an sme series iii on it and it was amazing.

I bought an OEM replacement on Ebay for £40 which I will include. I have a spare belt and spindle oil somewhere - if I can find them they are included. Decent condition but these are old turntables!
