I am selling a vintage, sought-after Ortofon RS-212 Stereo Tonearm with Ortofon Removable Headshell & Arm Rest Made in Denmark. It is dynamic loading which uses spring for imposing force on the needle (just like Ortofon RMG-212). There is a cue mechanism similar to Ortofons own Hi-jack. This cue lift works (maybe a bit sluggish). The tonearm is in pretty good condition. Bearing is tight and smooth. The sale includes the tonearm, headshell, and arm rest in pictures; the arm rest does not appear to be complete (the lower portion affixing to plinth). No other accessories. I ship worldwide.

It is dynamic loading which uses spring for imposing force on the needle (just like Ortofon RMG-212). There is a cue mechanism similar to Ortofons own Hi-jack. This cue lift works (maybe a bit sluggish). The tonearm is in pretty good condition. Bearing is tight and smooth. The sale includes the tonearm, headshell, and arm rest in pictures; the arm rest does not appear to be complete (the lower portion affixing to plinth). No other accessories. I ship worldwide.

HiFi World mention it in the same breath as both the Garrard 401 and the Technics SL10 which gives you an idea of how good a reputation these turntables have. An idler wheel is used to drive a platter weighing 8lb ( 3.6kg ). The heavy weight of the platter helps to give very low wow and flutter, leading to accurate sound. SME 3009 series iii Tonearm. Comes with cables but no cartridge. Selling on behalf of my elderly neighbour who was a classical enthusiast and bought this new so is a one owner example. This came off a working Thorens table which has now been sold. Its in fantastic condition and will be well packaged or can be picked up from Kingston upon Thames KT1. I will be listing an early version 3009 unimproved along with some quad amps and various head shells, cartridges classical records and a Garrard 401 that also belonged to my neighbour.
