The Thiel CS2.2 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker with a passive radiator. A passive radiator gives you a great amount of bass from a limited size cabinet, while also assisting the main woofer. At the top youll find a very capable midrange and aluminum tweeter. The sloped designs develop perfect time alignment which results in incredible imaging. The finish is a gorgeous medium oak which will look great in most living rooms. These speakers were tested in our lab and in our listening room where they sounded terrific. Really big sound for their footprint. Very responsive and great bass response. Note speaker terminal connectors are on bottom so you cannot use bananas. These are available for local pickup only. This sale is for the Single THIEL MCS1 LCR Speaker with grill and original box that is photod. (Original box not in photos but it is included). The speaker was part of a set from the original owner who used this speaker as his center, but with a pair this speakers makes an outstanding hifi stereo speaker with sub added that will perform with speakers way beyond their price point. The speaker is very heavy. As soon as you pick it up you will marvel at the build quality. The speaker is fully functional, well cared for. The cabinet and grill is free from damage, but does have some light scuffs. One end has a bit more scuffs than the other from sitting on its end at some point in its life. The cabinet corners are from damage, no heavy chips etc. There is a very small dimple on one of the woofer dust caps that is slightly noticeable when looking for it. This is very minor cosmetic and not is performance hindering. The rubber surrounds are in excellent health. Woofers move free from any sort of coil rub. Tweeter works perfectly. The speaker will be ready to plug and play when you receive it. Rest assured this speaker will be carefully packaged by competent audio loving hands for safe transit. The unit will be packaged in its original box, but also have additional protection over the original packaging to preserve the box and best protect this heavy yet beautiful speaker. Up for sale is a beautiful pair of Thiel CS5 speakers in great condition. Top of the line Thiel had to offer, they are very heavy with superb build quality and sound sublime and coherent with airy highs, intimate mids and punchy bass if matched with the right amps. All drivers are working perfectly and cabinets are in great cosmetic condition with small blemishes from normal use. Local pickup in north Jersey only due to the size and weight of the speakers.
