Processer and media player were used in a theater room updated a few years ago. The components have been in climate control storage. All working prior to removal. Theta Digital Jade CD Transport in very good condition. Faceplate is perfect. There are some light scratches on the top cover that you wont see unless youre looking for them. Solid build, this is a very heavy piece. Operates perfectly. The tray loader uses the Pioneer Stable Platter Mechanism, upon which the CD is placed label side down, play side facing up. Plays CDs, CD-r and CDRW. The Jade was the top of the Theta transport line-up for some time. Read the online reviews and youll know why. Very analog sound, with no digital haze or glare. Theta Carmen II CD Transport Only For sale, we have the extremely well built Theta Carmen II CD Transport. The unit came to us in need of work. We serviced the unit and sourced a brand new power supply. The unit is being sold as a CD transport only, as it does not read DVDs. The display is bright, and the original Theta remote is in perfect working order. Physically the player is in very good condition. There are several scratches on the left side of the faceplate, and some light scratches in other places. We tried to show these blemishes in the pictures listed. The unit has no dents, and has never been dropped. The faceplate is made of thick aluminum, as well as the top shroud. If you are looking at this unit we assume you know that it is a transport, and will require an external DAC to listen to CDs. See pictures for further details. We sold this unit a couple of months ago, and the purchaser called us a week after receiving the unit telling us the unit was making noise while spinning a CD, and was having trouble reading the CDs. After further discussion, the purchaser stated that he was burning in a cable, and had the player running for 4 days continuously. We issued a full refund and took the player back. We finally got to work on the unit two weeks ago. We removed the transport, and serviced the motor bearings. We then ran the unit for 4 days straight. We figured this was going to have to be our baseline test. While still only reading CDs, the unit is functioning smoothly, and quietly, we have been running it daily in our house system. This player was tested on excellent condition store bought albums and burned media on Sony branded CD-Rs. Belt and gear previously replaced and in good shape. Please note: this is a transport only. You will require a separate digital to analog converter in order to enjoy listening to your discs. Note small 1/2 blemish on right hand side where the top meets the side.
