This wonderful old unit has been in my family since it was purchased in the early 80s. I got it in the 90s from my uncle who I was raised by, so Ive known this item since it was new. I replaced the original small belt that drives the stylus across the platter. At that time, I also lubricated various key areas for maximum efficiency in movement. The main belt is original and is working very well. This unit was serviced by a Technics certified technician in the late 90s for servo issues. That was when most of the scuffing on the lid occurred. The lid has a crack that doesnt affect play. The cartridge/needle carriage moves with no issues now that the belt and key areas were lubed. Though the servo was serviced, I only use the 33rpm speed. 45 rpm speed does not work. The optic on the cartridge/needle works very well and can still find a particular number track with few issues. The cartridge is a replacement as the original became very difficult to find needles for. ( I am including the original Stanton cartridge that was bought new for this unit). The needle should not need replacing for some time. The buttons on the control panel work with the exception of the stop button. To stop a record in mid play, the lid needs to be opened gently or just allow the lp to play to completion. All the other buttons work. She plays very well and comes with the original power cord, a grounding plug, and rca plugs(not pictured). This is a great unit.
