I am selling my silver SL1200 Mk.2 because I bought one of the new and improved Technics models. It has many upgrades. The original bearing was upgraded to a purpose-made Ianmac bearing. I don’t think he is around doing this any longer, but you can Google for more information. I will also include the original bearing, FWIW (shown in photo). Upon purchase it was shipped to KAB Electronics. It was fully tested and got the DC1200 upgraded power supply, SX1200 strobe disabler, and “Broadcast Standard” 78 RPM upgrades, along with the KAB TD-1200 Tonearm Fluid Damper. (But you will have to acquire a new silicone syringe from KAB or elsewhere, $8). See the photo of the KAB Certificate of Performance. The original generic tonearm interconnect was replaced with a hardwired Zu Cable Xaus phono cable. I think this turntable is a definite step up from the usual SL-1200s for sale in the used marketplace. Everything works perfectly. The condition is excellent although not mint. For example, the dust cover has some cleaning-type swirls but no real scratches or discolorations. I can find no flaws on platter or motor. Minor signs of usage elsewhere. See photos.
