Very cool, vintage turntable…in the right hands this could be incredible. Unit powers on, makes a low humming sound. Sometimes will spin, mostly not. Tonearm looks to be in good, shape but not sure if it needs work or properly functions. Has normal wear for a unit this age with marks here and there, but no major dents, cracks etc. Platter mat is warped and will need to be replaced. Dust cover has some “cloudiness” to it. I’ve included a video for explanation purposes. Also comes with vintage Stanton 880S cartridge and stylus. I have no way of testing any further at the moment, selling “as is”…please see video and pics for all details! Items usually ship out same day or next business day. TECHNICS SL 150/SME 3009 Series 111s arm/ORTOFON 540 cartridge /QED QUNEX 1 cable. I purchased the turntable new many years ago and have updated it with an SME arm, Ortofon 540 cartridge and a QED Quinex 1 phono cable. The Ortofon 540 Mk 2, new can be purchased online for over £500 alone. There are a couple of problems: The SME tonearm has a small indent next to the arm rest with the little plastic retainer missing . Also, the bottom of the case has a couple of screws which cannot be secured tightly as the were cracked when I overtightened them when changing the QED cable. The casing however is still sturdy however with the other screws intact. The SME instruction manual is included. I cannot find the original box. I would prefer collection for obvious reasons and the buyer can test it out, but will package it well if not able to do so.
