Technics Portable CD Player SL-XP7 with Case SH-CDB7 These are highly sought after by collectors as they are one of the first CD players from the mid 80s as well as one of the first high end personal CD players. What was revolutionary at the time is that this used rechargeable batteries which is embedded in the case or could be directly used by plugging into the wall. Those that know about these understand that they are hard to find and especially hard to find in this sort of condition. There are a couple of very subtle scrapes and scratches, but all in all this is a nearly flawless CD player that was well taken care of. While it has been in my collection, I have always kept it in a box so that it was dust free and not jostled around. The bad on this is that there is no charging cord so I am unfortunately unable to test the unit and therefore have to sell as is. With a cord and functioning, these are easily $1000+ units. Usually the case alone goes for a couple hundred and this case is definitely in fantastic shape. I did note that it does spin so it is not seized. It has not been opened or serviced while I have owned it and it would be recommended to also get this serviced. Shipping is with Canada Post and is a flat rate with tracking. Shipping to Canada is $35 and to the USA is $50.
