This is a used pair of the very fine and very expensive (when produced) and very rare Technics SB-7000A speakers, made in 1978. They are true linear phase design speakers and their sound is incredible across all ranges and frequencies. The list price in 1978 was $800. That is $3700 in todays dollars. You would be very hard pressed to find a pair of these in better shape physically and sonically. I had the crossover boards re-capped by an expert some time back. I just had the woofers professionally re-foamed by the great Midwest Speaker Repair shop in Roseville, MN. The total cost (with substantial shipping cost both ways) was a little over $200. They done a super job. The speakers just sound absolutely fantastic now.They also replaced the dust covers over the woofer drivers.They did have some light glue smudges resulting from their work, but it is only a surface issue on the woofers. I pictured those smudges. But of course the woofers are not even seen with the covers on them. The 4 covers are in super overall shape, especially considering their 45 year age. Some specs: 7000A Type: 3 way, 3 driver loudspeaker system Frequency Response: 37Hz to 22kHz Power Handling: 100W Crossover Frequency: 700, 6000Hz Impedance: 6? Sensitivity: 90.5dB Bass: 1 x 14 inch woofer Midrange: 1 x 5 inch cone Tweeter: 1 x 32mm dome tweeter Enclosure: bass reflex Dimensions: 19 inches wide x 33 inches high x 16 inches deepWeight: 73 lbs. Note they are 6 ohm speakers so make sure your amplifier is rated to handle such.Also note the are 73 lbs each and BIG, so shipping is pretty much out of the question. I have two owners manuals, each serial-numbered to each speaker. I would be happy and proud to show you what they can do if you wish to come look and listen to them. I would not think of selling them, but I have decided to sell my house, my estate, and most of my belongings and move to SE Asia.
