Description
Technics HiFi system: Speakers SB-HD350,Tuner ST-HD350,Amplifier SE-HD350,Cassette RS-HD35,cD SL-HD350.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I received this from a neighbour a week before last. Speakers SB-HD350 x 2, wooden, 315 height, 160 width, 215 depth, 3kg each, 6 ohm impedance, input 60w (music), 30W (DIN). Leaver type cable connectors, made in Malaysia. Front covers are removable. The soft cone part that vibrates on one of the units is split, see photo. I did not hear any sound from this speaker. Tuner ST-HD350, 75 height, 192 width, 235mm depth, 1.010kg, 192W. made in Japan, display panel. It has 2 sockets to plug in a ribbon lead from the Amplifier below and a ribbon lead from the units above. Stereo Amplifier SE-HD350, 100 height, 192 width, 235 depth excluding knobs at the front sticking out, 2.740kg, 73W, made in Japan. It has a power input socket but no cable provided. It has a ribbon lead that links to the Tuner unit above. Cassette RS-HD350, 100 height, 192 width, 235 depth, 1.470kg, DC 13V/5V, 10W, made in Japan. It has a ribbon lead that connects to the CD player above and Tuner below. This lead looked like it had been cut. Compact disc SL-HD350, 75 height, 192 width, 235 depth, 1.185kg, DC 13V/5V, 10W, made in Japan. It has a socket for a ribbon lead from the tape deck below. The power chord from my printer fits this HiFi. I need it to power my printer, therefore its not included in the sale. The display lit up saying hello. The radio worked with an aerial. I repaired the ribbon lead by exposing all the wires at both ends then twisting each individual wire together and covering each one with insulation tape. This is not an ideal repair but was enough to allow me to test the other units. I suggest replacing it. The tape deck rewinds and fast forwards tapes but does not play. The CD player that shares the same lead worked ok. The screen on the Tuner displays goodbye briefly when the power is turned off. The weight of each unit and 2 speakers amounts to 12.4kg. I have a cardboard box that is large enough and weighs 950g. Padding material around each item will add to the weight. Evri charges £9.28 for parcels up to 15kg and the Royal Mail charges £10.49 for a medium parcel up to 20kg. In both options the box I have is close to the maximum allowable dimensions, therefore there is a limit on the depth of padding I can use. Large items take hours to pack and I will have to transport it by car to a post office or Evri parcel shop. Update: I have now packed this item. It weighs 14.7Kg. The limit is 15kg, therefore there is 300g remaining to tape up the box and add a postage label, that is if my weighing scale is measuring accurately. The weight of the tape and label could push the weight over the limit.
