Hello, I have up for auction my absolutely beautiful, clean, collectible Technics SL-D202 direct drive turntable in super cosmetic, fully functional, and highly collectible condition as shown. Plays SUPER, with an awesome Stanton cartridge and brush, and only the dust cover has a scratch, but does not affect the beauty. I am selling this one only because I have 5 turntables and cant use them all. Shipping is a fixed $25 in the US, no reserve price so high bidder wins and you will LOVE this Technics! The one included is from about 18 months ago (replacements are freely available) and the manual that I will include is a photocopy of an original. And Ill include the Technics slip map from photos. This turntable has been owned by me since the mid 90s, bought from someone I knew who looked after their kit. After some regular use it was stored for several years and then used again for last 10 years. It has been cared for and looked after well. The dust cover hinges have snapped and so although the hinge edges still slot over their original holes they do not hold the lid up, I had the turntable on a surface with a wall just behind so could rest the lid on that when open. The tracking and sound quality is still fantastic. Tracking is as solid as always. Issues: The needle arm return button works, the auto-return usually works, but on some occasions doesnt, which over the years I noticed seemed to be linked to if the record has been allowed to play through or not and the size of the record run-off rather than any mechanical issue. The pitch adjuster has become sensitive over time, meaning only slight touches of the pitch wheel cause quite significant movements in speed. The manual,which I will include a copy of, shows how to adjust this setting and it looks quite simple but as this a valuable piece of kit I didnt want to risk any damage. I have used the turntable with this quirk recently without any problems. Pick up is preferred from London E17, Walthamstow and I will reduce the winning price by 10% if buyer is willing to pick.
