Description
Technics EPC-100C MK2 Stereo MM Moving Magnet Cartridge Phono Pick-up Vintage Domo Arigato! Welcome, Thank you for your visit. Description Operation confirmed. The appearance has small scratches, dullness, dirt, etc. due to normal use. For other appearances, please refer to the photo. Overview Pure boron cantilever is used for the cantilever. This material, which is difficult to make into a solid bar, is refined into a pipe shape by a special manufacturing process to achieve light weight and high strength. Furthermore, a laser beam is used to process the tip mount hole for mounting the needle tip tip in pursuit of precision, resulting in an extremely small effective mass of the resonator and pushing the high frequency resonance frequency out of the audible range. The TTDD (Technics Temperature Defense Damper) developed by Technics is used. Compared to commonly used butyl rubber, this damper material has about 1/3 of the temperature dependence, and has excellent viscoelasticity and excellent cantilever support performance. As a result, there is almost no deterioration in sound quality and tracing performance due to temperature changes in the room. In the magnetic circuit, mirror-polished HPF cores are used for all magnetic materials such as pole pieces and yokes to obtain excellent transmission characteristics. In addition, the left and right channels are completely separated in the HPF magnetic circuit to achieve a symmetrical arrangement, thereby reducing imbalance between channels in terms of various characteristics. A single-point suspension system is employed, in which a disk-shaped magnet is placed at the base of the cantilever, which is attached to the support pipe by suspension wires via a disk-shaped damper. This clearly unifies the fulcrum just behind the magnet, preventing the generation of intermodulation distortion due to the back-and-forth change of the cantilever and the deterioration of high-frequency characteristics due to the increase of equivalent mass from the needle tip perspective. The low inductance design minimizes the effect of addition, resulting in high performance. The DC resistance is also designed to be extremely small, resulting in low noise due to the resistive component in the amplifier input stage and a high signal-to-noise ratio.
