Teac z-5000 master cassette deck! Fantastic condition cosmetically. Heads and roller look great! No damage to the deck. Powers up and all logic controls respond. Belts have turned to goo from disuse and age, as his unit has been stored for some time. Likely ONLY needs belts and maybe some de-oxit to function! Cannot guarantee, but if anything it shouldnt need much else. No signs of any cap issues or anything of that nature. When spinning the mode gear manually, functions seem to engage properly - it is this belt that I can see is obviously toast, and I believe with a new set of belts it should function just fine. It does seem the deck was well cared for. Replacing belts in this unit is beyond my abilities mainly because Im afraid to mess up such a high end unit. Would love to keep it and get it serviced but its just too much for my needs. Will ship in bulletproof packaging. Again, I cannot guarantee it wont need a more comprehensive service, but to the best of my ability I have described this deck as accurately as possible. No returns will be accepted, this is sold as is. Local pickup is an option, Im in Trenton Ontario. I ship quickly as I run a vinyl record outfit on Discogs which keeps me constantly making post runs.
