For sale, a TEAC D500, fully functional in good condition, the DAC has slight scratches on the upper front, visible in the picture,with 2 TDA1541 DAC CIP in differential configuration which turns out to be the best sound solution.The fixed power cable has been replaced with VDE trays to be able to put better cables, as visible in the photo, 2 TDA1541 mounted not the S1 version, this chips still have a sound quality almost equal to the S1 version.The other components are all original.I do not have the original package but is shipped with suitable packaging.

The original OPAMP for the I/V stage and differential stage has been replaced with the very well sounding OPA1656 Burr Brown ultra low noise OPAMP. Tascam was a division of the Teac Corporation which were world renowned tape deck experts. This cassette player and recorder produces excellent results, as an analogue component it sounds very good indeed. As with any high quality audio product use decent interconnect cables to gain the true performance of this machine The main features of the TEAC V-5000 are: 3 heads and off-tape monitoring, digital linear tape counter with 4 digits and memory stop, automatic tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven dual-capstan transport. Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the center of the deck. Tape loading/unloading is operated motorized and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Level meters used on the V-5000 are generic digital peak reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the V-5000 let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection. To ensure the best response from the wide variety of tapes available adjustment of, bias and sensitivity, to optimum levels can be performed prior to recording. Dolby C-type used in the V-5000 provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type. The Dolby HX PRO system provides precise bias control during recording to reduce distortion and improve linearity in the high-frequency range, the result is recorded sound that is highly faithful to the original. The 19kHz multiplex pilot slgnal present in FM stereo broadcasts can cause false triggering of the noise reduction system. The switchable MPX filter of the V-5000 filters out the pilot signal, and assuring proper Dolby processing of FM stereo programs. For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied. Teac Reference 500. Mated with B&W 601s. Amazing condition and stunning Sound! Its in amazing condition and has been mine for a number of years but Im building an AV System now so this is surplus to requirements. Everything works perfectly! The sound quality is unbelievable and beats my current system for quality but doesnt provide the surround sound I would like. I would put it in my bedroom but its far too loud for the size of the room. I would rather sell to someone who can collect and listen to it so they can see how good this is. I comes with Cambridge Audio cables and banana plugs suitable for bi-wiring the speakers. I would definately prefer collection but will securely post and will build a wooden crate to secure as I will not have this damaged. Im not too bothered if it doesnt sell so definitely no silly offers.
