Here is a lovely Teac CD-P1260 cd and mp3 compatible player. In lovely condition, the front fascia, display and controls are excellent, i cant personally find any defects to that area at all, just one mark to the top case that notable if stood on its own but quite minor considering its age. I have opened this up, checked the laser performance and cleaned the lense, also cleaned and lubricated the sled rail, and, most importantly, addressed the typical ageing failure of these decks which is the rubber/sprung transport support. These get tired and allow the cd to oscillate to the point that the laser loses focus. If this is not addressed and sorted as i have done, then its days of 100% reliable and skip free performance could be about to cease at any moment! This one however has been on continuous test now for days. It reads and recognises discs very quickly indeed, and has not skipped a beat once, so i consider that a job well done, and shes ready to sell on to be enjoyed by the next owner. These are a lovely sounding player, very natural, accurate and true to the music, not biased in anyway like many other brands can be, so ive thoroughly enjoyed the background music entirely whilst testing.
