In sound used condition I have a few of the Radio Shack Cassette type Demagnetizer units and they are very similar to the TDK one. Below are the instructions for them. 1. Turn the volume controls all the way to zero. 2. Insert the Head Demagnetizer unit in to your deck as you would any normal tape. LED must be facing out towards you. 3. Press the Play mode on your deck and let run till the LED light goes out or after 10 seconds have elapsed. 4. Press the stop button and eject the Head Demagnetizer. Helpful Hints. 1. Use your Demagnetizer after 25 hours of play. 2. If you cannot operate your controls without the power turned on, be sure to check that all speaker/headphone volume controls are set to zero or off. 3. When the LED light glows dimly, it is time to replace the battery. To replace the battery turn the unit over and slide the battery cover off. Replace only with PX675 1.5V Battery.
