HIFI-PLATTENSPIELER TELEFUNKEN 220 studio SPIELFERTIG MIT TONABNEHMER SHURE M 77 Seltene Sonderausführung von Thorens für Telefunken: Der Plattenspieler Telefunken 220 studio ist eine Kombination aus dem Thorens TD 135 und der Halbautomatik des Thorens TD 184 mit der Telefonwählscheibe zum Aufsetzen des Tonarms. Mit seine 30 cm-Teller steht er dem TD 135 aber näher als dem TD 184. Der Spieler aus der Schweiz kam in Deutschland 1963 auf den Markt. Er war aus Lagerbeständen bis 1967 im Telefunken-Programm - ein Jahr noch nach dem Ende der Fabrik in Sainte-Croix. Seinen Ladenhüter-Status verdankt der Telefunken 220 studio seinem hohen Preis und der Konkurrenz durch die vergleichbaren deutschen Modelle Elac Miracord 18 H und PE 33 studio. Gebaut wurden nur zirka 3000 Stück, beginnend mit der Seriennumer 1000. Dieses Exemplar ist Nummer 3450. Der angebotene Spieler ist in jeder Beziehung makellos - ohne jede Gebrauchsspur - wie neu. Das gilt auch für die Gummimatte. Er läuft leise und rumpelfrei - was man von manchem TD 124 nicht behaupten kann. Der Telefunken wurde in der Schweiz von Jürg Schopper komplett revidiert. Er ist mit einem neuen wertigen Anschlusskabel mit Cinch-Steckern ausgestattet und braucht keine Erdung. Ausgeliefert hat Telefunken den Thorens-Spieler in einer scheußlichen Nussbaum-Schatulle. Dieses Exemplar sieht besser aus - es ist mit der seltenen abgerundeten Werkszarge des TD 135 ausgestattet, die wie die ST-104 im Holzwerk von Thorens in Sainte-Croix entstand. Der Telefunken 220 studio markierte die Spitze des großen Plattenspieler-Angebots des Berliner Herstellers aus Eigen- und Fremdproduktion. Als Spielpartner empfahl Telefunken seinen Spitzenverstärker V 820 - siehe vorletztes Bild. Auch dieses Röhrengerät war eine Fremdproduktion - es wurde von Sennheiser gebaut. Bedingt durch die pneumatische Steuerung der Aufsetzautomatik hat der Spieler die Eigenart, nach dem Aufsetzen des Tonarms kurz abzubremsen, um dann auf die volle Drehzahl durchzustarten. Ich habe deshalb immer manuell gestartet und den Tonarm erst nach Erreichen der Nenndrehzahl von Hand auf die Platte gesetzt. Eine nicht mehr wiederkehrende Gelegenheit, einen Telefunken studio 220 in dieser Form und in diesem Zustand zu besitzen.
