When I went to test this, no output. Turns out the fuse is blown. Its a small fuse since Norway, which I do not have. So, I took off the bottom cover. Everything looks ok except for the right side board which looks to have a transistor soldered in backwards compared to the left side, plus it is way loose. I took pictures with text on them, so check it out. I do not know the history of the unit, appears to have been an attempted repair. Anyways, sold for repair or parts. Its a heavy unit, weighs 24 lbs.

Tandberg is a Norwegian company who have always kept up with manufacturing quality Hi-Fi equipment. This example is no exception. A portable field recorder for roaming reporters of the time. Their version of a Uher report 4000 etc. These tape recorders do crop up on eBay from time to time but mainly full track recording. This is a 2 track machine and is more practical having this format when playing 2 track recorded tapes. All works well, just a little sluggish on fast wind when coming to the end of the tape. Servo controlled capstan motor with 3 speed selection. Takes 5 inch reels with lid closed or 7 inch with lid open. A 5 reel of Tandberg/ 3M Scotch tape and take up reel supplied. Tandberg microphone with table top stand, plus a mic stand adaptor comes complete, working. 200 ohms impedence. Fitted with an XLR plug type. Instruction booklet and a comprehensive servicing manual complete with fold out schematics and circuit diagrams. Mains adaptor (12Volt), working with new mains plug fitted ( UK 3 pin).
