This deck is in beautiful shape cosmetically.All lights work. The issue it has is in its tape mechanism. The tray opens and closes, however when you go to play you hear a humming and then it stops. I was told (sight unseen) that it needs belts only but I am not an expert so please do not take that as an actual diagnosis. Shipping via fed-ex ground insured.

Onkyo Stereo Cassette Tape Deck TA-630D PARTS/REPAIR Metal Vinyl Silver Blk READ. When it was tested, the play button goes down for a couple seconds and the gauges shoot up but then the switch goes back up and the gauges down. Won’t play cassettes. Top has been wiped off and still looks dirty but doesn’t rub off. Outside is in good condition, just doesn’t work and needs repaired or can be used for parts. See pictures.

Onkyo TA-630D cassette deck. This piece has been disassembled, meticulously cleaned, and replacement parts installed. It has new belts, a little capacitor work. All switches and potentiometers have been cleaned and deoxed. Needles on the VU meters have been repainted. The faceplate is awesome. It now plays and records as it should. REW and FF perform great. This is a super clean, straight, and truly gorgeous piece. Ready for fun. I ship promptly and package very well.

The serial number: 99103774 The cassette deck is in good cosmetic condition with hairline scratches, small dings, peel off stickers, stain spots, worn-out corners and edges. Play head and all metal on tape path are demagnetize, cleaned and tested for tape tracking and reading. All transport belts is in working condition. All dials, toggle switches, buttons, indicator lights, all inputs and outputs are tested. Forward, Rewind, Play and Record to cassette tape from line input and microphone are tested. Sound output is crisp and strong on both line output and headphone.
