DENON's proprietary high-precision magnetic recording detection method is used to detect rotational speed. DENON's unique method records 1,000 high-precision pulse signals on a magnetic material coated inside the turntable rim and detects them with a magnetic head to control the rotational speed. Thus, even if load conditions such as needle pressure or arm position change, or even if external conditions such as power supply voltage, frequency fluctuation, or humidity change, rotational speed hardly changes. An AC servo motor is used as the drive motor. In principle, AC motors rotate more smoothly than DC motors, and are superior in terms of rumble and wow flutter. Equipped with an auto lift mechanism with non-contact end detection. The DP 1200 uses a contactless detection method that optically detects the sound of the record and the speed at which the tone arm moves when moving from the groove to the lead-out, so that there is no need to worry about imposing a load on the tone arm.
