This Sony sub powers right up and the display shows input options when using the input button which scrolls through the input options, also shows volume up and down buttons both working as they should. On the back the SA-CD and TV RCAs as well as all HDMI inputs and ARC TV out all working as they should as well as the optical and coax inputs. All drivers LRC working. (DM port untested for I dont know how to test). The speaker bar and sub appear gently used with some very small minor user marks, nothing major to my eyes. If he had a remote for this I am unable to find it at this time, if I find it I will pass it along. Buy with some confidence I used this Sony subwoofer & sound bar system for a month plus and it was tested to the best of my ability without an owners manual with no issues. Though I dont see many people actually giving a description of what they heard in use, this is what I came up with. I hooked this Sony up to a Sony DVD/CD player and played a variety of music, CDs, and movie DVDs to my ears it really sounded great with a big room filling sound with nice highs, clean clear mids, nice low end bass.
