Up for sale is a beautiful Sunfire SDS-8 subwoofer in black ash finish. This has been my personal subwoofer and has only been sparingly used in my music room to augment my testing of smaller bookshelf speakers. It is a great sub which works perfectly. Cosmetically you would have to look very hard to find a mark on it. I would personally rate it NEAR MINT but please look at the pictures and judge the condition for yourself as everyone sees things slightly differently. The unit will come with the power cord and the original Owners Manual, still in its sealed plastic bag. Bob Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer Super Junior. 8” 1500 watt in Rosewood finish. I believe it is circa 2006, that’s the newest date I could find inside the cabinet. This item is technically working; though I’m listing it as “ for parts or repair” because it should be repaired to be back to its former glory. The rosewood cabinet is in beautiful condition. There are fine scratches that could buff out. There are no major blemishes on the cabinet. It is missing both the front and rear grills. The unit works, but there has always been a slight hum at low volumes ever since I’ve owned it. It has sat for a long time not used in my sun/theater room. Unfortunately in direct sunlight. Just recently I noticed the surround on the active woofer has split ( likely from the direct sunlight). The caps to me look like they have never been serviced but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve always loved this little subwoofer and if it doesn’t sell I’ll likely just have it repaired and keep it forever. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
