Hello. Here is for sale Sumiko Blue Point Special EVO III Low Output MC cartridge. I bought it brand new three years ago as a back up cartridge and never mounted until two weeks ago. Right from beginning the cartridge had distortion in the Left channel and now the Left channel completely gone. It is too late to return this cartridge,so my loss is your gain.May be there is a disruption in wire attachment. I cannot figure that out and I do not have any means to check, physically or visually (my eye sight is no longer that good even with the magnifying glass). This is a Sumiko Blue Point high output moving coil phono cartridge purchased new by me somewhere around the year 2000 for use with a Thorens TD-166 mk II turntable. The turntable sat unused from 2002 until this year. I thought at the time I was purchasing the Blue Point #2, but it appears instead to be a version of the original in a standard mount rather than P-mount case. Comparing the sound of this cartridge now with WAV recordings of it that I digitized 22-ish years ago, I cant hear a difference.
