This powerful device delivers an impressive output power at clipping of 54W per channel into 8 ohms, 62.4W into 4 ohms, and 72W into 2 ohms. Experience the minimal distortion, nearly constant at 0.1 to 0.08% from 0.1 to 10 watts, decreasing to an extraordinary minimum of 0.0135% at 50 watts. The high-level (CD) input’s sensitivity for a 1-watt output is a remarkable 29 millivolts (mV), with an A-weighted noise level of -85.5 dB. The SR-3A features tone controls with excellent characteristics, affecting only the frequencies below about 200 Hz and above 5,000 Hz. The FM tuner section boasts an unusually flat frequency response, within +0.2, -0.3 dB from 30 to 15,000 Hz. The audio distortion of the Stasis amplifier section follows an unusual pattern, with nearly constant readings over wide changes of power and frequency. This unique feature allows the SR-3A to play as loud as much more powerful conventional amplifiers. But the SR-3A isnt just about power and performance. Its also about the experience.
