This will be well-packed.  I have cleaned the speed control switches thoroughly -- push them gently.  I had thought it was some sort of capacitance sensing switch but it's just plastic and has very small movement to change speeds.  I lubricated it while I had it open to check for any bad caps (saw none and left the electronics alone). It holds constant speed and the automatic function is great.  The SL-1401 is a HEAVY turntable, not the plastic-based technics units that are still great but not like this beast...  Stanton 680EE Cartridge with D680 stylus and little brush. Has a few extras. Box is beaten up. I’ll use painters tape and put duct tape over it to double box it. ****UNTESTED**** I do not know much about this piece. Ive used the markings on it to create this listing. I am unsure of how it works or if it works at all. Please do your research to make sure this is the correct item you need. It is fragile and I do not want to have to send it through the mail twice of fear of it getting broken.
