This Soundcraftsmen RP2215-R equalizer is cosmetically in very good shape, with no rack rash on the bolt holes or scratches on the faceplate. It is, however, missing one of the caps for the sliders. I have plugged it in and music passes through, but I cannot verify that all of the individual sliders are doing what they are supposed to do. I acquired this through the winning bid of a local auction as part of a pile of audio items and have no need for this particular piece. Im selling it as-is/for-parts just because I cant guarantee everything is working as it should. Enjoy it, part it out, sell it to your neighbor, or repurpose it as a mailbox.... Lets just keep these cool old pieces out of the local dump. Ive been selling on ebay for 17+ years and have a great reputation. Soundcraftsmen DC2215 Equalizer / Comparator Serviced: *replaced all electrolytic capacitors with high quality audio caps from Nichicon and Elna *deoxit switches *removed sliders, disassembled, ultrasonic cleaned, polished, then reassembled with fresh grease *replaced all wire-wrap wires on slider signal circuits *calibrated lights *tested *repainted covers This EQ is the top model. It has precision wound inductive coils, instead of ICs that mimic the real thing. With this it gives you 15dB boost/cut, where most EQs offer 10 to 12dB. Distortion is rated at less than 0.01% THD and IMD. A Sound/Noise ratio of 114dB @10V. The comparator system is accurate to 0.1dB and allows you to keep the output level the same as the input, so to not clip signals or add unneeded noise depending on whether an EQ curve increased or decreased a musical signal.
