I also tested it with a tape and I got some sound but it seemed to cut in and out.. I dont know if this is a problem with the player or my tape! FF & RW both work. It also features an analog AM/FM radio, Mega Bass, and a set of white Sony MDR-ZX110 headphones.Cosmetically pretty good with light rubs, scratches, etc., mostly at the corners & edges. New CORRECT belt installed. The belt clip is present. Cassette deck plays well and it sounds great. The playback head, capstan and pinch roller have all been cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Headphones sound pretty good and have new pads. Radio works well, too!
