This listing is for a VINTAGE SONY WALKMAN RADIO AND CASSETTE PLAYER WM-EX50, little used, looks like new except when I opened the case a small piece of plastic broke off near the hinge on the bottom of the player so I glued it back on which you can see in the last photo on the right side of the hinge it has some glue visible, it doesnt affect its performance and everything works normal but cosmetically it doesnt look like new now.This walkman has been restored, so it is guaranteed to work properly.This walkman uses one standard AA size batteries for power. This is an used item, so it will have some marks and scratches on it that might not be visible in the photos. PLEASE NOTE: This item has been restored, so it is guaranteed to work properly. Type of restoration done: The old rubber drive belts were replaced, after the replacement the speed was adjusted properly with Sony Professional test tape at 3000Hz. ABOUT THE RESTORATION: Why is it important for the item to be restored? If you are buying vintage electronics that were NOT restored (no matter if used or brand new sitting in the box) and the sellers state were tested and work, you should know that they dont work as good as the day they left the factory without the need of any restoration work done. You should know that it is extremely rare( 1 in 10 or 20 chance) to see a vintage item working PERFECT after sitting for some 20+ years without the need of any restoration work done. This is because rubber gets old, plastics shrink and crack, electronic components that have liquid in them wont give the same performance as freshly made ones, etc. That is why it is important to buy an item that has been checked and restored. Repair places dont do restorations but just fault finding. They just find what electronic component is causing a device to malfunction and replace that component only. This is because it takes a lot of time to restore an item and unless you ask and are ready to pay, they wont do it.

Sony Walkman WM-EX50 (READ)! This WM-EX50 is in nice condition, but has some light scratches. This device has new capacitors, new clutch and a new belt. But the tape transport still needs some TLC. Playback isnt flawless yet. Playback speed on the forward side isnt good. Playback on reverse side sounds ok. Autoreverse functions ok in both modes, fast forward en rewind also works. Megabass, Dolby B, tape type selector, volume and clock/display works ok. Comes with original pouch.

Sony Walkman WM-EX50 mit Etui Der Walkman ist an sich in einem guten Zustand. Auf der Vorderseite ist ein Kratzer (siehe Fotos), ansonsten gibt es keine sichtbaren Schäden. Das Display funktioniert und auch Rück- und Vorspultaste scheinen ihren Dienst zu tun (mit Display Anzeige) allerdings ertönt beim betätigen der Playtaste ein anhaltendes Klacken und die Taste arretiert nicht. Daher wird der Artikel als defekt angeboten (ohne Batterien). Bei Rückfragen stehe ich gerne zur Verfügung.
