It was introduced in Europe about four years later. It was supposed to be a video system for home users and as a Japanese system it was in direct competition with the VCR video cassette system that had been introduced in Europe in 1971. But in the end it turned out quite differently. The U-Matic cassette system with the associated video recorders prevailed rather in the semi-professional or professional area. In fact, both the video cassettes and the devices themselves are very robust, making them very suitable for professional use. This device, the Sony VO-4900, is a portable video recorder with a connection for a suitable video camera. Hallo,  biete hier einen Sony vo-9600p u-matic- Recorder aus den 90ern an.Das Gerät war damals das Topp- Modell von Sony- vielleicht kann es noch jemand gebrauchen. Über den weiteren Zustand kann ich nicht viel sagen- war aber bis vor einem Jahr noch bei Verwandten im Einsatz.Das Gerät schaltet sich aber ein, leuchtet/ blinkt normal, Videokopf justiert, ...
