For sale a rare to find high quality Sony model TTS-4000 (circa 1970) direct drive turntable. Turntable worked properly until recently, but now started to spin fast and cant be controlled. Im selling it AS IS for parts or repair. Description : The Sony TTS-4000 is a professional, 2-speed, direct-drive motor unit. Motor speed is converted into AC signal by means of a direct coupled frequency generator. The servo amplifier compares the signal against a very stable DC reference voltage, and then controls the collector-emitter impedance of power transistor. Any error in motor speed results in a correction voltage supplied to the motor.
