Sony TCM-12 Vintage Cassette tape Player Walkman/Recorder only with 3.5mm mono jack plug adapter - Made in Japan. This item does work and the play button, FF button and stop button works fine also the speaker does work fine, it is not that perfect the sound when you play the cassette on this cassette tape player, please it needs service for this item. Including is: Sony TCM 12 Walkman, original strap and with 3.5mm mono jack plug adapter. Nothing else This item is records and plays back in mono only, so you should only hear the audio from one headphone. I have use 3.5mm mono jack plug adapter allows you to connect a headphones to a 3.5mm mono jack socket. The adapter is bi-direction so sockets can be used as output. Finally I get both sound right side and left side of headphones with this adapter work fine for Sony TCM 12 Walkman. The reason it plays in both headphones with the jack half in, is the contact in the input socket bridges both left and right outputs on the barrel of the headphone jack in this position. Its still mono signal, but the same signal is being sent to both ears. If you were to play a standard stereo cassette through the TCM-12 it would only playback one channel, and at half speed to boot. It isnt actually a Walkman at all, its a portable tape recorder, a forerunner of the Dictaphone I believe it. Please see the pic of the item. Please bear this in mind when bidding.
