The tape player fast forwards and rewinds fine, it also plays on both tape A and B But it tends to chew tapes, so will need a service and probably new belts. This little beauty really really really wants to work, i can tell. Powers on no problem. When trying to play a cassette in either deck most of the time it just clicks the gears inside and doesn’t engage. Once in a great while it will catch and work. Also if you press down on the head at the bottom of the deck it will work for a few. I have read it’s either the belts, which seem fine, or a small gear behind deck b inside. This Sony TC-WR445 is in excellent physical condition and i believe could be a great unit if you know how to fix it. Sold as is, no returns, so please ask any questions up front. This was my dad’s old tape deck. Brought back memories testing it. Deck A works fine. Deck B starts and starts to play but then gets stuck and stops.
