Replaced both cassette drive belts they are new now. Unit works perfectly! I am including the motor drive belts as well. The ones in the unit were in good condition so I left them but you’ll have two brand new belts for down the road. Unit is in excellent shape and comes with the original manual and RCA cord.

This made in Japan, Sony dual deck plays and sounds great! The good: - Machine plays in both directions, from both cassette sides. Pause and stop working, and changing from forward play to reverse play is quick and solid. - Counters and meters are working. - Heads look like they are in good shape. - Cosmetics are good. Certainly not mint, but very very presentable. The not so good: - Fast forward and rewind are very sluggish. Sometimes they will grudgingly run for 10 or 15 seconds, other times shut down after just a few seconds. Likely need new belts? - The button to open the door on the A side has broken off. Still fully functional, just need to insert something (Pen, paper clip, key, etc.) into the slot to activate the mechanism. So, this is a parts or repair, as is, no return listing. Could be other issues, besides, what is noted above. This deck could be a fabulous performer with a bit of work. I have tested the item and it works but item was returned from eBay. Customer said deck one didnt playback and only did worked in fast Forward and reverse. Deck two worked fine but made a sound. Unit will be shipped FedEx and should arrive within 5 days from when unit was accepted.
