Up for sale is my newly restored Sony TC-K615S stereo cassette deck. The deck features 3 heads, an erase, playback, and record head. The unit has a built in recording calibration mode and quartz lock servo for accurate playback speed as well. This deck is an example of the peak of Dolby noise reduction as it features Dolby B, C, and S The cassette deck was painstakingly restored which included removing the original deteriorated belts and replacing them with new belts, replacing the pinch roller, and replacing the notoriously faulty Sony X-3363-501-1 gear on the TCM-190 tape transport mechanism. The tape transport mechanism was also thoroughly cleaned and new lubrication applied. Hours of labor went into this restoration. The sale includes the deck and its original box, though the box is incomplete and not in very good condition. Shipping to addresses in the USA only. No returns on this item.
