These discs are from the 3rd series, which means that the shutters are black metal with tan text (see pictures). The discs come in Sony slipcases with reprinted paper title strips. These are used discs that were part of a huge batch that I imported from Japan. Weve removed all stickers from the discs.The discs will contain their original music from Japan -- usually pop songs from around 2000 -- because recorded media qualifies for Media Mail rates and blank media technically doesnt. Conversion Manual from Sony V-Fet 2SJ18 & 2SK60 TAN-5550 to Mosfet. This conversion is supplied in PDF format in English. Complete with schematics, photos, instructions and trouble shooting. Very easy to perform by hobbyist with some experience in repair. The conversion is possible with different Mosfets. Hitachi , Samsung or Intersil. But all other possible Mosfets are in the document. Sehr seltene Sony TAN-8550 VFET Endstufe Die Endstufe stand lange und war nicht in Betrieb. Funktioniert auf beiden Kanälen. Ein Kanal ist bei kleiner Lautstärke gut jedoch bei anheben der Lautstärke verzerrt der Klang. Die Endstufe befindet sich im Originalzustand uns muss komplett revidiert werden. Das Gerät hat deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Die Endtransistoren müssten beidseitig Ok sein da gleiche Werte. Verkauf an versierten Elektroniker. An extremely well cared for set of vintage stereo components originally purchased from Swallens department store in 1974 in Cincinnati ohio from a neighbor. They have recently been checked out and brought back to spec by one of the best technitions in the region, Matt, at Matts vintage audio repair in Milford Ohio. The set is 100% functional, all inputs, tone controls, switches work perfectly. The light projection VU meters on both pieces work perfectly and are truly the most unique thing from the 70s in the audio world, and thats not getting into the extremely dynamic. rich, and tube lke sound from the V-FET outputs. Cosmetically the unit is in very good condition. The wood sides have no scratches or blemishes. The faceplate is also in very good condition. They are both from a smoke free home since 1974. Also I forgot to take a picture, but I do have the original box for the pre amplifier.
